3.iSpring WGB32BM 3-Stage
Bring on the heavy duty stuff! Okay, if you really want to go all out you can go for the ISpring. This is the biggest and baddest mofo you can get. If you really want to filter your water the best possible way you can go this route. This was my very first whole house water filter and I actually loved it. In my opinion, it is a great starter one if you want to see what drinking good water feels like. It is super cheap and also very effective. If It were up to me to choose something for you to start out with, I would probably choose this. It is up to you to decide which one you want to pick!
This in-home water filter is actually a bit more expensive than most but it really has potential to be one of the best. If you were to type in-home water filter on Amazon this is known as the best seller. I do not know about you but I really appreciate a water filter that lasts longer periods of time. I would rather not spend so much on filters because it always ends up costing me way too much. This is the only problem that I have with this filter system. Other than that it is a masterpiece. It really does have everything that you could possibly need for your home.
I have never used this personally but from reading a couple of reviews I can safely say that it is good enough to be on my list. Coming in at number 8 on the list is the Aquasana 6-year in home water filter. This baby can do around 600,000 gallons of water. Which is a massive amount of water if you ask me. This is probably one of the more advanced filter systems you can put in your home. It lasts a lot longer than other brands or models. It is guaranteed to last up to 6 years according to the details. I would very much recommend trying out this brand. However, there is one downside to this product. The price is probably the most ridiculous of any other system. If you have cash to blow you are more than welcome to try this product out. If you are like me and you do not have this kind of money to blow on a water filter then I would suggest another brand.
Dupont seems to make some very high-quality in-home water filters. They may not be the best but they really do pack a punch. This model can filter around fifteen thousand gallons of water. The price of this filter is decent and If you are on a budget you should check it out. There are some pretty negative reviews but I am not really too sure about it. I think my favorite part about this filter would probably be its Easy-glide by-pass valve built-in to the housing head. It allows you to replace cartridges without shutting off the water main.
10.Express Water Whole House Water Filter System GAC Carbon Sediment
I had a great feeling about this one straight off the bat. Not only was it an eye-catching whole house water filter but it has some pretty raving reviews as well. What To Look For In The Best Whole House Water Filter
I would consider putting the price into consideration before you think about anything else. First, find your budget and figure out how much you are willing to spend. After you figure all of that out you can start shopping. Some of the newer and better whole house water filters can cost you a pretty penny. However, there are plenty of budget whole house water filters to choose from as well, no need to worry!
Now that we have the price out of the way. The question that you need to ask yourself now is what kind of features you are looking for in a whole house water filter. Here are a few features that you might want to consider before shopping.
- Filter Life
Some people do not realize exactly how much money it costs to constantly change the filter on a water filtration system. If you do not do the correct research you could end up spending hundreds if not thousands of dollars on disposable filters. This is something that you would genuinely want to avoid if you are planning on investing a lot of money into the best whole house water filter system. Instead, you may want to consider getting a reusable filter. Some models have dishwasher-safe filters!
- Filter Size
The bigger the water filter the longer it will last. Find yourself a decent sized water filter if you want it to last longer. This will save you hours of time and tons of money as well. It is very highly suggested that you do not cheap out on this.
A whole house filter system with a flow rate below 10 GPM is not acceptable for maintaining continuous water pressure during times of peak usage. Meaning you are going to want to make sure to find one that is over 10 GPM which is pretty easy to do. Usually, only the cheaper models will have a GPM under 10 and that is still very rare. As long as you stay above that you will be fine. So by this logic the best whole house water filter will have a flow rate above 10 GPM!
Which Contaminates Are Removed With A Water Filter?
The whole reason why we pay to have these fancy water filters is the amazing ability they have to remove contaminants. These water filters can do some pretty amazing things for your body. They remove germs, bugs, metal, copper and just about anything else that you probably should not be putting in your body. The problem is, a lot of these whole house water filters do not do the best job of removing all of these. Be sure to do your research before considering.
