Headlights are one of the most under-appreciated parts of a vehicle. They allow us to see down a neon-lit road at night and under poor weather conditions. Which leads to millions of lives saved every day. If people did not have headlights on their vehicles driving would be a nightmare. A lot of the time we take them for granted. Here is my top 10 list of best halogen headlight bulbs.

1.SYLVANIA H1 XtraVision
There is no doubt in my mind that this is the best halogen headlight bulb out there. Okay, that might be a little bit of opinion but it is one of the best sellers on the market. Not only that but you really can not beat the price. When it comes to halogen headlights this is probably one of the cheapest products. To my surprise, it works just as great as any of the more expensive competitors.
2.SYLVANIA H13 XtraVision
We are going to continue with the Sylvania brand, this time it’s the H13 XtraVision. Just because it is second on the list does not make it worse than the h1. The H13 is an excellent halogen headlight bulb. This bulb has more down road performance than basic bulbs. It also can increase down road visibility with no added glare.
3.Philips 12362B1 H11
This is another one of the fairly inexpensive products that you can choose from. I have always been a big phan of Phillips because they always put up great products. The Phillips is cheap and has a long lifespan as well!
4. SYLVANIA 9007 SilverStar
This bulb competes with all of the others because it is a very high-quality product. It gets the job done and maintains its lifespan for years! However, the only downside that I would add to this halogen headlight would be the price. In my honest opinion, it seems like it is a little bit too expensive for my taste. If you are looking for one of the absolute best halogen headlight bulbs you might want to check out the 9007 Silverstar. A lot of people claim this headlight to be much brighter than your typical headlight. This is another reason why it is so popular among vehicle owners.

I was fairly surprised when I noticed a lot of others did not mention this bulb. The OSRAM Night Breaker can add up to 110 percent more light than your standard halogen bulbs. It also has up to 20 percent more white than your standard halogen bulbs. It maintains a longer lifespan than other competitors by having a robust coil design. I was a little bit surprised when I researched this halogen bulb. It turned out to be an excellent product. It’s much brighter than some of the other brands and seems like a pretty high-quality product. When it comes to the best possible price, I would not suggest this bulb. 8.SYLVANIA H11 SilverStar
For some reason, these halogen headlights get a lot of hate. I personally think they are awesome and work very well. It has a very bright light and is great for seeing down the road better. This headlight will give you much better vision than some of the other brands. The light is a little bit whiter to add some clarity.
9. AGPTEK H7
These headlights are without a doubt the cheapest you can find the market. They might not be the best halogen headlight brand. They do, however, make it to the top 10 list because of the price. If you are strapped for cash and you are looking for a good cheap pair of halogen headlights look no more! I have used these before, they do not last very long but they do work well and they are cheap. These are also very easy to install which is a massive plus.
10. SYLVANIA 9005 SilverStar
The reviews for this halogen headlight bulb are not very pretty. There are a lot of negative reviews and for a couple of good reasons. The price is just way too high for these bulbs. Sure they might be decent quality and they might add extra visibility to your car. However, they just are way too overpriced in my honest opinion. That is not to say that this bulb is not great. It will definitely make it to my top ten list.
What Is A Halogen Headlight?
Headlights are lights mounted in the front of the vehicle. These lights are made of a light source, a reflector, and a lens. They can technically be referred to as self-contained lamps. A halogen headlight is just one type of headlamp that you can have for your vehicle. You can also use Xenon and LED headlamps for your car instead of halogen headlights.
Advantages Of Using A Halogen Headlight.
There are many different advantages to using halogen headlights compared to LED and Xenon headlights. Halogen headlights have been the standard headlight choice among vehicle owners for a very long time. They are extremely cost-effective and have a much longer lifespan than other headlight types. Not only that but the reason why halogen headlights are so popular is probably that they are the brightest headlight on the market.
Different Types Of Headlight Bulbs
There are three different types of headlights that you can use for your vehicle. You can choose from halogen, LED or Xenon headlights. There are a ton of differences between these three headlight types.
The most popular and most cost-effective headlight that you can buy is probably going to be halogen headlights. Halogens are a common component of halogen lamps, a more advanced type of incandescent lamps, which use a tungsten filament to produce light. Halogen will usually produce the brightest white lights on the road. The only downside to using halogen lamps compared to their competitors is energy waste. Even the best halogen headlight bulb can waste a lot of energy. If you are all about saving energy and
LED also known as Light Emitting Diodes are slowly becoming more popular among vehicle owners. With LED being the best headlight for saving energy it’s starting to gain a strong popularity. One awesome thing about LED bulbs is that they pro a use better light return from road signs. LED lights will produce light when they receive a voltage which gives them their power.
This kind of bulb is actually pretty different compared to a halogen or LED light. Instead of a filament heating up and glowing, HID headlights also known as Xenon headlights use electrodes to charge the gas inside the bulb. This makes the light that you see on the road. Xenon bulbs are much brighter and have a whiter light than a halogen light and tend to last a lot longer than conventional bulbs.
I personally prefer using Halogen bulbs to any other type of lights out there. They are just easier to use, to put together and to manage. Maybe my problem is I just do not want to embrace change. I will continue to use the best halogen headlight I can find until the day they stop being relevant. I highly suggest that you do your research before deciding exactly what you want to purchase. It can become a little bit stressful sometimes but follow this guide and you should be set.
